Easy to put together
This is super easy to put together. The cage has no bottom so it works great if you’re just setting it outside for kitty playtime. I put a bottom on mine by stapling the same type of wire that came with it onto the bottom. I did this because I am putting mine off the ground. This is lightweight and seems to be good quality. The roofing does shed some in the shipping box so you may see little black beads in the box upon opening. That threw me off at first until I realized what it was. It worked with modifications, but wish I'd have gotten the more expensive one.
There is one listed that is very similar. It is a bit more expensive, but now I can see that it is higher quality. Wish I'd have paid more and gotten that one. This worked out with modifications. We added extra screws to hold it together better. We had to purchase from the hardware and install our own latch closures to keep the door closed. We also put sealant on the screws on top (roof). The shelves are 1 panel narrower than the more expensive version and too small for my under 9 pound cat so we ended up removing them. If you can't afford the more expensive one, I would say to get this and make these adjustments. She is loving it now that we have it. We even made a cutout into the catio so a cat door window for a sash window leads out to it. Whenever we have it unlocked she can ... There is one listed that is very similar. Our 2 cats love it!
The size is great for our needs. We did give each wood piece a coat of paint for it to last as it is outside in the weather and reinforced the bottom with 2x2 the length and width for more sturdiness.
