    Calligraphy and beyond.

    Although these are calligraphy inks, they make amazing watercolour accent tools, too! That's primarily what I use them for. I'm a fan of Dr Ph Martin's in general, but the iridescent inks are a favourite of mine for sure. I always have a full collection on hand. My biggest complaint is that you won't really find any of them to be a dark red. That's not so much of a problem, though, as they are easy enough to dilute and blend. If you have a quality pigment in another media--I use high grade watercolours--you can easily mix these in. It's worth noting that the iridescent bits are heavy and may settle. If allowed to get cold, you'll find that shaking them up to mix them is not easy. Simply hold the glass bottle in your fist for a few minutes or run it under warm water. That will loosen ...
