Best Cordless Phone = Panasonic KX-TG8231B
This phone is the expansion model of its base counterpart which I also have a review listed for, it has everything you need in a cordless home phone, it is Dect 6.0 and the sound quality is EXCELLENT but if you have DSL (like me) then you'll want to buy a DSL Filter and the extra signal from the internet creates a low amount of noise. The speakerphone feature is nice, it could be louder but its loud enough that you dont have to hold it up to your ear, I believe its a saftey feature for your hearing. This expansion unit does not have an answering machine built into it. Its a breeze to set up and to use, providing you dont want anything stupid like changable ringtones or wallpaper (this isnt a cell phone). Panasonic Kx-TG8231B Phone
Wonderful phone with so many options; Plenty of ring tone choices, phonebook categories, answering machine choices, lightweight, range is more than one would expect for a cordless phone. I recommend a headset to save the neck cramp associated with holding the phone with your shoulder. This is a great phone!

Good phone, BUT....
The handset speakerphone needs improvement. I will never own any other brand. Panasonic phones have great sound, no distortion and very good reliability. This phone is a very good phone but it seems like the speakerphone is not as good quality as all my other panasonic phones. Even though I only rate this as a good, you couldn't go wrong on owning this phone.
