Easy fix to use a record player with today's receivers.
My Surround sound receiver needed a pre-amp to work with my phonograph (AKA analog stereo record player). It seems phono inputs are yesterday's technology. Not only did the pre-amp work, but the sound coming out of the surround sound system is far better than my old stereo system once used to play my old LP's. As for my parents HIFI's and 78's - home theater technology can only go so far.
