Awesome older tech.
This worked with my Sony Bravia TV, Anthem MRX 540 and older minidisc player on the first try. I was only really interested in turning on the TV and AV receiver simultaneously without having to use two remotes, but now, I'm using it for changing the volume too. I purchased an older Sony minidisc player from a pawn shop about 10 years ago without a remote, and now it can be fully controlled by this remote. I was very surprised. Setup is a breeze. Just download the Harmony software into your computer, plug in the remote, answer a few questions and wallah! No looking up codes. Just tell it what you've got for a tv or receiver and it hooks right up on the first try. Remote is also nice to hold in your hands and you'll never point the wrong end first toward the tv. During initial programin, it takes much longer to get a list of brands for this remote. I almost gave up waiting. Battery holds much better than on my Harmony 1.
