As described, shipped fast. Glade they packed well as it looked like USPS tossed the box around. Since it was well packed the camera and lens were fine.

Very quick response and fast shipping in less than a week to Hawaii. Well packed with new power items included. For a 10 year old camera, it was pristine and unused. Lucky find and excellent seller.

    Easy to Use DSLR

The Olympus E-420 is a lightweight/small DSLR with very good image quality and a nice selection of lenses. It feels half the weight of my Nikon D300, which could probably survive a fall off a 30 story building. So I end up grabbing the E-420 or my 520 when I'm going to be carrying the camera for extended periods. The only difference in the 420 vs. 520 is the 520 is slightly larger and has image stabilization, which is nice but not absolutely necessary. All in all the E-420 is still a viable option in a dslr, especially with their low buy in.

  • Awesome product, great value for the money! Panorama (spanning) capability.

Suggestion: Get spare battery, buy a good memory card card converter (such as SDHC-high-speed to CF-II) to free yourself from memory card choice, and get xD Picture Card memory card to fully utilize its potential. One thing that does not exist in most low entry camera of its kind is the built in Panorama function which is used to take adjacent images (up to 10 shots) and stiches them together into a long picture. But with prerequisite availability of an xD Picture Card in the camera. This is one of the easiest to adjust manually of all the entry level dSLR I have ever used especially from its live view. It is almost a breeze to adjust how much light exposure I would have along with determining how much the flash light power would affect the exposure. All that left is how steady our ...

  • Olympus E-420

This camera far exceeded my expecations of it, I do love this camera and would recomend anyone whos is looking for a digital camera with interchangable lens to consider this camera, There are a few disadvantages, the grip for the camera works well for me since I have small hands, some one with larger hands will not fit all four fingers on the front grip your pinky will hang off. I do wish this camera had a video feature but for that I can always use my old camera, My main reason for buying was for better Megapixels and in depth photos, which I am super happy with, The camera has SO many functions and really awsome ones that you will use. Overall I give this camera an A-!!!!!!!!

  • Small and nice SLR Camera

I bought this camera for 3 weeks agow and have taken some photos and is very happy with the camera. Had a little trouble taking pictures in low light, but I'm an amateur and I think it has something that I used "live view" (see on the LCD monitor to take the picture) It has no real image stabilization, which was slightly disappointing, but one need only last a little more steady hand. It works very well and good quality and many features. Very good that it has live view so you can see in the LCD monitor when you take picture! But, it does not always capture using live view in low light. The software was very good and I downloaded Norwegian language from Olympus.com after I had registered the camera. I also got Norwegian manual from Olympus by email, which is necessary to ...

  • Olympus E-420 Body

If you want an entry level DSLR with excellent customization settings or prepackaged point and shoot settings in a small light body and a reasonable price, this is it. If you want to customize be prepared to read and experiment as there are a lot of options that require using a multi-level menu system; a small price to pay for the features you get. The body will require reasonable care when using since its durability is typical of most non-professional bodies. Using the vivid color setting when shooting scenery will yield some impressive photos with rich blue skies and vibrant green grass. The view finder is a little on the small side for a DSLR but better than most point & shoots. Shooting in live mode with 11 point balanced focus on doesn’t work well due to the slow update of the ...
