About this product

Product Information

Preserve memories of the past with this Wolverine Data F2D 200 Scanner by converting your old slides and film to digital form. With a tray that holds up to four slides or one six-negative strip, this digital film and slide converter easily scans these physical items and converts them to a digital image. Each scan takes about five seconds and produces an image at 1800 DPI resolution. The scanner hooks up easily and produces high-quality images that are seen immediately on the 2.4-inch color LCD screen. Store the images in the internal memory or on a one gigabyte external SD memory card. Preserve about 1,000 precious images on every one gigabyte memory card. Share those images over and over on the device's LCD screen, a computer screen, or a television screen.

Wolverine F2D 35mm Film to Digital Converter

This device is very easy to use. Some improvements could be made to the USER MANUAL. On page 8, placing slides, it should be mentioned to install the slide into the Slide Tray so that the entire field is filled. This may require the user to rotate the slide first before inserting it into the tray. The image can be rotated after the slide has been scanned. Another design shortcoming is the fact that an SC card MUST be installed to save the scan. One cannot save the scan directly to the computer because there is no driver for this device. This product functions exactly as the USER MANUAL says it does and I believe it's worth whatever one spends to own one.

  • Very easy to use

I found almost 1500 slides in my mother's things after she passed and didn't know what to do with them. I asked at the photo processing desk but they said they don't process these anymore. The other equipment I found to convert slides to digital had to be compatible to a specific computer processor and I wasn't finding any that was compatible with mine until the Wolverine. So easy to set up...just plug in, insert slides, save....that's it. I did find that I needed to check frequently my memory card because it did not save every time and required repeating. But I now have all of my mother's slides converted to CD and have been able to copy them for other members of the family.

  • Grand for the money

Very easy to set up and use. I've scanned and saved about a thousand slides in the month since I bought it. Some do need additional editing, once on the computer, but that says more about the age and condition of the slides than the scanner. My only beef is with the little doors through which the scanner is accessed. They are flaps through which a slide tray is slid. Their hinges are very fragile and one side is already broken. But even so, the slides still photograph well.

  • Wonderful tool

I had another one that I used for decades until it gave up the ghost. Bought a different digitizer from another company and threw it away when it would not work properly . Glad to have the original one back. I use it daily on railroad themed slides and negatives that have been donated to our railroad museum. Once digitized, I take the sd card to my Mac and burn a CD so people can see images iof trains originally photographed a long time ago.

  • Wolverine F2D Negative Scanner

I bought this to scan some negatives from my late Fathers collection... I was amazed to recover photographs from over 40 years ago with me in. I am able to tweak colours and exposure from the scanner itself to recover the images in their former glory. I am also scanning my Fathers 35mm slides from the 1930's and 1940's. So far the only problem I have found is that some of the slides are in metal frames which are thicker than the scanner will accept... so I will probably contact Wolverine for another slide adapter and remove the hinged 'door' so I can just lay the slides on it loose and see if that works. But, on the whole a really good piece of kit and well worth the money.
