Great Brad Pitt Movie
This was a great early movie of Brad's, in his younger days as an actor. I really loved the way he played Johnny Suede, true to life moments. How you'd really feel in the same situations as a young man living along and then trying to live with a new girlfriend. I've been waiting for this movies release on video since 1994. I'm just as pleased and happy with it now as I would have been seeing it back then. It will not be an outdated film, but a classic for ever as far as I'm concerned. AND I REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THIS MOVIE...
This was a great set-up for a great comedy movie: a guy who's musical and clothing tastes are from the 1950's that's trying to start a music band but just keeps running into problems and strange situations. But, again, it's the painfully unfunny script and the way too long pacing/editing that makes this hard to watch. While I did really like seeing Samuel L. Jackson and Tina Louise (from Gilligan's Island) cameos here, this film really wasn't for me. Sorry I wasted my money on this. This was a great set-up for a great comedy movie: a guy who's musical and clothing tastes are from the 1950's that's trying to start a music band but just keeps running into problems and strange situations.
