not sure how to enable 10 hz refresh; otherwise excellent gps receiver.
Samsung Galaxy S i9000 gt owner (galaxy s 1). Works great . Exceptional signal strength and precision. To access this GPS receiver form your device one needs to download "Bluetooth gps" app from the market. The refresh rate is just 1 Hz. I was actually hoping for the advertised 10 Hz - this than could easily replace some of my track driving logging equipment, but with 1 hz it falls short of my expectations and the primary purpose of my purchase. Will test the receiver with other devices and software - maybe i can in some way enable the 10 hz refresh rate of the gps position information. the user manual is not very helpful with regards to: 1) "Bluetooth gps" app from the market (this with a fast Google search is straight forward issue to resolve in no time; and ... Highly recommended product for aviation use. Worth the prize.
I'm an Airbus 330 Pilot and I was looking for a GPS solution for the poor GPS performance on my ipad. I find this really helpful with the Jeppesen moving map. Battery last for about 12hrs and Gives continues GPS position at any speed and altitude without any problem. This product comes with an old software version so I couldn't connect multiple devices in the beginning. Handy device but flawed
Saves battery drainage on your mobile devices. Cheap to replace its own battery as it uses $3 Nokia batteries. Flimsy power switch can accidentally turn power off.
