    Great replacement!

    We used to use an sb6180. I was initially worried that it would outperform this one, and I was wrong. Our old modem would reset on average twice a day, forcing us to power cycle the modem. This one has not exhibited such behavior since I set it up. At $15 this cable modem is a steal, as long as you accept that this device is end of life. I can say that Wave Broadband supports this router, even though it is not listed on their support page. I am able to get a 12ms ping with 7ms jitter, 110 Mbps DL, and 10 Mbps UL, which is the speed we pay for, so the modem is nowhere near throttling at these speeds. The webgui leaves a lot to be desired. There is only one page, which does in fact, give you a lot of information. However, it does not display well. Nor does this modem show nearly as much ...

    Upgraded

    I use Windows XP, Windows Professional, Dell notebook and such. I have been paying for high speed internet for many years and when I noticed that I no longer felt that I was getting the correct speed,Cox cable rep told me that it was due to my modem and that I needed a 3.0 or better. they tried to sell me one for a $100.00 plus but I found this one and my internet has been working fine since.I was going to buy the Cisco combo (wireless and cable modem) but there were to many bad reviews. So, this modem works great with my Belkin 30 wireless.

    Great Modem

    This modem is the best value around. It works very well with COX service, it's fast and reliable (so far) and the price is hard to beat. The unit arrived as described on time and showed very little signs of previous use. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for an alternative to renting a modem, just make sure it's compatible with your service provider.

    Best investment doubled my diwnload speeds.

    Wonderful investment great price can't thank them enough. I have been online since 1991 when my first month on Compuserve cost me $500.00 for roughly an hour a day and 2 floppy discs of downloads. Fast forward to last year My cable company and internet provider tells me they doubled the speed for the same price. Using a Docsis 2.0 modem I was happy and sometime amazed as my speed ran around a 30 meg connect most of the time for downloads. That was using a goodwill find for the modem and router. Lately though after visit Costco I noticed a Motorola Modem for $80.00 and reportedly was good for very high speeds with the proper connects.     Good modem

    The modem was a bit rough cosmetically, numerous scratches and missing one of the rubber feet. But it was activated and is performing without issue on Cox, so I'm satisfied. No issues with the transaction, the seller delivered as advertised.
