Nancy Drew must search for a flight of 99 steps to solve the mystery of a friend's weird dream. Her search leads her to France, but before she leaves the United States, an unknown person calling himself Monsieur Neuf warns the young sleuth not to pursue her mission.     Nancy Visits Paris to Solve the Mystery of the 99 Steps

    This is the 43rd book in the original Nancy Drew series. Her father's legal case and her own mystery are linked by the 99 steps. Nancy, her father and Nancy's two friends, Bess and George, go to Paris to solve the two mysteries. Like all the Nancy Drew mysteries, there are parts of the story that involve dangerous moments for Nancy and her friends. The author is able to imagine many different ways the criminals try to torment Nancy, but in spite of all their attempts to harm her, she always manages to escape serious injury. Girls who are about ages 10 through 13 or so will probably enjoy this book and might even be interested in reading the entire original series of 56 books, written between 1930 and 1979 by Carolyn Keene.

    Nancy Drew:The Mystery of the Ninety-nine Steps

    I loved to read as a child and my parents bought me the complete Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Series. I loved every one of them. Since my daughter, now 13 does not like to read I bought a lot of the Nancy Drew Series in hopes that she might like them as much as I did at her age. Good choice on my part as she loved them and is now reading them all! Well worth the money. Enough suspense to keep them intrigued to the end! I was the oldest of 9 and the books got passed down to my siblings- needless to say I had to buy them all over again!
