Cartridge worked just fine. Expiration date was years old and the exterior packing was badly aged, but the pouches were well sealed, so the ink cartridges seem to work as new. What a deal! I only use genuine HP cartridges as I once was burned by using substitutes. These are the real thing at a fraction of the cost.

The photo is misleading. The ink cartridges are remanufactured by some one other than hp which would explain the low price. They also read as empty on my printer console display which doesn't matter anyway because those things are never accurate. The way I feel it's a great deal because if the ink goes bad sooner than an hp cartridge it doesn't matter, it's so much cheaper. I just make sure that I have some back up ink that I now can afford, and when that's gone I order some more at a very low price.
It is normal to be wary of non-OEM products, but the outrageous price of original cartridges drove me to seek an alternative. I have had 95% good turnout using refilled cartridges. On a couple of occasions, ink did not last long, and in one instance, was leaky. In 2nd instance, supplier shipped another cartridge quickly. My HP Photosmart printer is going on 5 years old and seems to be faring well, with pretty much a steady diet of re-manufactured cartridges; I will continue to use, in gratitude for the affordability.
I will only buy genuine HP Ink cartridges. I have always said you have to pay a little more for quality and reliability. That is what you get you get from HP. Most of the time I buy from an E-bay auction and get at a reduced price. Most of the cartridge's or a little outdated, but I have found the ink is still reliability. I love all HP printers. You have to get a printer that takes care of all your needs and more. I have all HP products in my home office and I will be using the for a long time. I do have one problem. I bought a HP Photo smart R967 camera and I really like this unit. My daughter took my camera to a football game. She took the camera out of the HP case and was taking pictures. After about 30 minutes she placed the unit in her back pocket instead of placing it back in its case. I think you know what happened next. The display was damaged and it quit working. I need to know where I can send the camera in for service. I have already bought a new camera (not HP). My wife will not use the new camera because she thinks it is too difficult to use and she wants me get this unit fixed or buy another point and shoot camera. Let me know where I can send for repair.
