    New replacements for old ones with unfunctioning buttons

    These are brand new, and the price is right. No instructions come with them, and Directv instructions are hard to find. Look online if you have trouble setting them up. These are RF (use radio frequency to control the DVR, and infrared for TV and other devices) and I had some trouble because my DVR was already talking RF. I found entering the following got them talking to my DVR To put the remote control into RF mode: Set top slider to left side Press and hold MUTE & SELECT, wait for two blinks, release Enter 9 6 1 Press CHAN up Enter last 6 digits of the Receiver ID number, found on a sticker in the access card compartment Press SELECT BTW, Directv told me they were defective when asked, BUT the sent me two more controllers for free (long time customer).

    remotes didn't program using ( correct ) codes for type of TV

    The remotes do not work. I have purchased this type of remote before and programmed them immediately with an onscreen code supplied by directv ... but after three or four hours of programming codes (provided by Directv), plus researching for Directv handset codes online the remotes do still do not control volume or channel up/down ... they do not operate the TV as they should now I need to get out of chair and change channels / switch on / off manually. This is very frustrating, I will now need to find one that does work.

    Genuine Item

    After years of use the buttons on my original remote were getting hard to use so I bought one of these. They are brand new OEM Directv remotes and work great. Just follow the on screen instructions from Directv to program. It worked so well my friend had me order one for him.

    Easy to program

    Love these remotes. They have all the buttons you need and are easy to use without confusion. You don't need to be on top of the TV for it to make contact. The best part is they are easy to program. Tried it one time and I was happily watching my shows.

    Easy to program and responsive

    This remote control replaces the original one that came with the receiver. It is extremely easy to set up, and I'm up and running in less than 10 minutes. With this remote, I can select up to 4 devices. I assure you. It will recognize your DIRECTV receiver, TV,DVD player and sound amplifier. It's easier to use and to program than the original remote.
