  • Excellent Lens for the Range and Cost!

Excellent lens for the range and price point, hard to beat it! It has its faults, like a little softer wide open on the long end, not as contrasty as more expensive lenses, and a slower AF (but not too slow). But it gives an excellent focal range for shooting in decent lighting conditions. I love mine!

  • Great deal for a low budget

This glass is a great deal for it price. I’m an amateur photographer and love wildlife photography (specially avian). With this glass I get great images and enjoy every minute of it. I have a Nikon D5000, and although the glass is not fully functional (AF) with it, I’m practicing allot and saving battery power. I’ve found out (with my other lenses) that AF-S (photographing birds) have many problems focusing, stole time for great shots and eat my battery.
