Still the best rangefinder
Not much has changed technology wise when comparing this year's Bushnell V5 Patriot (No Slope) to my 5 years old Bushnell Tour X (w/Slope) via specifications in their respective manuals. Dimensions = 1.5 x 4.5 x 3 inches vs 1.5 x 4 x 3 inches Weight = Both are 8 oz. Ranging Accuracy = Both have +/- 1 yard accuracy Range = Both have 5–1300 Yards / 5–1189 Meters Magnification = Both are 6x Objective Diameter = 24mm vs 21 mm Optical Coatings = Both Fully Multi-Coated Display = LCD w/illuminated Jolt indicator ring vs Dual Display Technology™ Power Source = Both use 3-volt lithium (CR-2) Field Of View = 393 ft. @ 1000 yards vs 330 ft @ 1000 yards Extra Long Eye Relief = Both are 16 mm Exit Pupil = Both are 3.5 mm Magnet = No vs Yes Includes case and strap = Both do The only ... I put the old Bushnell Tour X in my travel golf bag to give me an idea of slopes at courses I'm am less or not familiar with. I compared them both on the golf course and they had identical yardages anywhere from 10 yards to 440 yards. Both give instant readings once you push the button. Contradicting some reviews I've read about the V5, I can still wear my sunglasses when using both rangefinders.
