Ease of use would be this cameras strength. Basic functionality and just a little more are the total abilities of this camera. As most are already aware, the Webs' (and virtually all monitors for that matter) Dots per Square Inch (D.P.I.) display rate is 72 DPI. No matter how high a resolution your monitor may possess to display an image, 72 DPI is the standard used universally across the Internet. I won't go into greater detail concerning screen resolution. Suffice it to say that virtually ANY digital camera has the capability of reproducing an image, on your screen, at 72 DPI. Where cameras differ in functionality (and price) is their ability to reproduce higher resolution photos in larger sizes. For example, a 16x20 photo reproduced with crystal clarity. You would need a much higher Megapixel camera to do so. This would probably be a photographer's next requirement of a camera. How large and clear a photo can it take? If large, crystal clear images is one of your your main requirement, then this camera is in no way the right camera for you. If, on the other hand your requirements are for a small, lightweight digital camera, capable of good screen resolution (72 DPI) photos, without all of the extra "Whistles and Bells," then this camera will suit your needs nicely. I bought this camera precisely for those reasons. I needed a camera with a good performance history, that takes photos with a high enough quality that I can use the images to display my wares on eBay. A camera with a good focus/flash speed and decent enlargement/reduction capabilities. Also, it is lightweight enough that I case keep everything in a small camera case and carry it in my pants pocket. Here again, the Kodak EasyShare suits my needs. It has enough functionality to quickly share my images with others, scale up/down, even color correct prior to taking a photo. Lastly, A simple display screen made it possible for me to understand 90% of this cameras capabilities in a little over 10 minutes, without a manual. Granted, my being a computer tech with some previous exposure to higher end cameras played a part in my grasping the cameras assets quickly. Still, this camera has enough competence and ease of use to have even a novice user up and taking photos in a matter of minutes. My likes, which I have previously listed, far outweigh any dislikes. The capability of operating with a larger memory card than 256mb might be helpful. Still, if I am primarily using this camera for eBay Screen-Res images, how much larger a card do I need?Read full review
we shoot a lot of pic while moving @ highway speeds. fixed focus cams have proven their worth to me. I've used much better cams, with worse results, while they try to focus. often missing the shot waiting for focus.
