    Easy to use and great quality

    I was needing to save my VHS tape collection for future watching ease when I purchased the JVC DR-MV80 Combo VCR DVD Recorder With Remote HDMI output. It works great and is very easy to operate. The output of picture quality is the best.

    One of the last consumer JVC DVD/VHS combo models that should be considered

    I have owned two of this model. I have been able to record from cable drives and VHS tapes easily. There are timers which allow for automatic recording to both DVD formats and VHS. Editing recorded DVD chapters to eliminate space is also possible. No similar consumer recorders are being produced now. JVC no longer makes servicing available through factory service centers. I would highly recommend the brand and model if you can locate one for sale.

    jvc dvd/var

    the dvd part worked perfectly within 12 uses the videocassette player was "snaring and shredding the tape" to eject the cassette i had to cut the tape so the cassette could be removed from the machine. HELP

    Good buy, great service, nice add-on warranty

    I had a number of "unfinalised" DVDs burnt on my old DR-MV80B before it died. So, I had to get the same model again, to finalise these, or I would have had to redo everything if I got a DVD recorder of another make/model. That aside, I didn't need a tuner, so this model is fine. Now it's also discontinued and no longer stocked, and the limited stock is priced very high so eBay was the right place to locate a unit at a reasonable price. I am very pleased.
