Most power for its design
There are some articles out there that tell what the number of volts means & why it's not the best measure of strength in a stun gun. But this model is still above the threshold for "strongest." The only ones that are stronger are the hand-held designs, meaning that the electrodes are almost "in" your hand. This isn't a great idea if your goal is to fend off an animal. You wouldn't want your hand in the middle of everything. So the balance of design & strength of "zap" makes it perfect for me. People have complained that they didn't realize that the electrodes are at a fixed distance from the hand - about 19". That's still longer than any other in its price range. I've lost one & had one stolen. I keep buying more. I always check to see if anything has come onto the market that beats it, & ... Nice product. The light is ok...not as bright as my Anker or Thrunite. But, it's adequate. It is difficult to replace the rubber that covers those four prongs at the end of the stick. It's nice and light. Strong. The best part is that the stun gun is nice and powerful. I can see a coyote wanting to get away from me as I walk around my neighborhood. The stun gun is scary. I accidentally pressed it on and people were startled. Yes, I like it. Yes, I recommend it. Yes, it's a very good product.Nice product. The light is ok...not as bright as my Anker or Thrunite. Excellent walking stick.
I have not used the stun gun side of it, but my ankles and knees like the help they get from the walking staff. Its look is a bit flashy for my taste, but the most important is that it allowed to walk around 15,000 steps over the weekend, without my legs giving out. So from my view point it has been an excellent purchase.

Overcoming Flaws
I have seen a couple of flaws with the zap stick that I have remedies for. If you experience the cane tip coming off, simply remove it, wrap some electrical tape around the end and put the cap back on. The cane tip will fit tightly then. If you haven’t used enough, add more till it fits tightly. The second problem is accidentally knocking the “prong cover” off and loosing it. I have knocked it off several times, but thankfully have always found it. I solved that problem by purchasing a watch fob chain. I drilled a small hole through the side of the rubber cap, inserted, with a little finagling, one of the ends of the watch fob chain and the other end simply fastened to the existing wrist cord at the top where it is fastened. It adds BLING to your stick and it eliminates the fear that you ... I have seen a couple of flaws with the zap stick that I have remedies for. Find the side where the cover snaps on easily and drill that side for the jump ring and watch fob.

Great product for anyone who hikes at night.
