I believe it is an older model.
It has what looks like a type of plastic heating element. Later models replaced this with a type of stone as the heating element. ( I've had two of them). The pictures shown on line, prior to purchase, don't show this important area which is what makes the unit work at all. It came new in the box and was a little surprised when I saw the heating element. I intend to give the benefit of the doubt in hopes it operates and last a couple of seasons.It has what looks like a type of plastic heating element.
