    Much better than the unit I previously owned.

    If you live in Canada or anywhere else outside the US, this is not the unit for you. However I can honestly say this unit is way better than the 2593lmt I own which never worked correctly even when it was brand new. Rugged, sturdy and totally reliable, this is an absolutely awesome GPS that doesn't keep shutting off, doesn't keep popping up messages that the cable isn't compatible or that the cable cannot charge the unit. No it doesn't have bluetooth or smartphone compatibility so that may be a deal breaker for some, but for those who can stand to put their phones down for 5 minutes and want an easy, stress free drive with excellent navigation, I can't recommend this unit highly enough. Fantastic value for money, this has got to be one of the best affordable GPS units out there.

    Traffic report function is built in, but additional purchase required.

    One thing irritates me about Garmin. The GPS models which have the Traffic Advisory ability don't come supplied with the special power supply needed to have that feature function? I believe that the average buyer assumes that the unit comes with everything needed to make use of the advertised functioning. It doesn't. My gripe is with the manufacturer, not the seller.

    Good for small fingers

    Actually I really like the unit, but I am going to have to get a stylus. When I try to type in an address, my fingers are too big and wrong letters are activated. So, I guess it is not really the unit, but my fingers?

    Have only used it once, but it seems to work very well, I will be using it often and I loved the last Garmin we had. I think the traffic addition wil be of great help/

    A Good Value

    I just purchased a 2018 car that is priced in the mid-30s that requires the use of a smartphone in order to use for maps with directions and works off cell towers. I have found Garmin GPS to be reliable, easy to use, and free updates are great. Those cars with Navigation require expensive updates that cost more than this model Garmin. Mine is attached to a bean bag mount. I used it as a back up on the car I traded in but use the Garmin on the new car so I don't have to use my data on my Smartphone in my 2018 Hybrid car.
