The best remote I've ever owned!
This 890 Remote is the second I have purchased since 2006. Since I have multiple tv's playing the same show via an HDMI splitter I am able to sit in the office and control the TV's from there or any other room. And the Logitech website stores all my device settings so adding an new 890 is as simple as hooking it up to the computer and telling it to update to the device settings. This legacy combi RF & IR Theatre Room Remote, came complete with RF to IR hub and worked well. Once programmed to your system, changes are easy for a skilled DIYer to do, and this remote does replace all others. Also, once programmed, you can replace the remote (just the handset) and save the programming. It's partly why I've not jumped ship from Harmony long ago, to the more robust but similar URC remote. I'm on my fourth Harmony 890; with casual use they last 3 years or so. Build quality is what you pay for, or less. Underneath an intelligent button layout are very cheap switches, and they wear out. Fortunately for you, these are disappearing from the marketplace, and many offered for sale have already failed. Unfortunately, Harmony has not made a better hard-button remote as ... Good for what I wanted it for.
Much cheaper than a new one. Very confusing to program. I had to buy a Windows capable laptop to program it. You need that or a Mac. Have trouble with it working correctly with my Roku 3 and doesn't seem to want to rewind pause etc on my Vizio smart tv when on Netflix etc. But I mainly bought it to use on an Ilive sound bar that came with a tiny crappy remote I kept losing. So ya it works for that!!! Eventually I may be able to program it better but its very confusing to me. The remote battery has a long life. Doesn't have to be charged everyday and the tv is always on in my house.Much cheaper than a new one. Very confusing to program. I had to buy a Windows capable laptop to program it. Great Home Theatre Remote.
The remote works with all my home theatre items: TV, Blu Ray, Computer, Stereo and Photo frame. It is very easy to program using the Logitech Harmony remote software on my computer. It recharges when it is not in use by setting it on the base.

Perfect Harmony 890
I was able to program Roku with this. It is the perfect remote. I have a 75 inch Samsung TV, a Roku, Samsung blue ray player and a Sony A/V stereo system for the front room. A 40 inch TV and Roku in my bedroom and they all work perfectly with the Harmony remote.
