An oldie but goodie. Simple smartphone with a big battery.
We've been using these since we bought our first used one off eBay in 2005. We were Palm users before, so it was great to combine our cell phone and palm and also get a keyboard. Nowadays, the VGA camera is anemic and the screen is small and the resolution stinks for trying to see anything on the Blazer Internet browser. But it's still great for calls, texts, using the Mobipocket app as an eBook reader (most Kindle books are actually Mobipocket format, and tons of free older books at Project Guttenberg and Baen websites), and some mobile web like email. And it still has the excellent Palm scheduler and address book. Plus some fun free games to keep the kids busy in waiting rooms and lines. We'll need to upgrade someday when we need to access WiFi since this is only cellular wireless ... We've been using these since we bought our first used one off eBay in 2005. These Treo 650's are older phones, but they are some of the least-expensive and most-durable smart phones with full keyboards that you can buy on eBay. An excellent choice for GSM (T-Mobile and AT&T in the US) users with prepaid plans or for people who need a very durable device. You can buy often buy custom-fitted Otterbox cases on eBay for around $20 whhich are incredibly tough. Battery life isn't great, but extended-life batteries are also around $20, and they have over double the capacity of standard units. If you would like a slightly thinner GSM phone with a better camera, the Treo 700 is not much more expensive, and it runs the Windows Mobile operating system instead of the Palm OS found on the Treo 650. The battery is a little lower in capacity on the 700 than it is on the ... These Treo 650's are older phones, but they are some of the least-expensive and most-durable smart phones with full keyboards that you can buy on eBay. For my family, that ends up saving us approximately $100 a month in data charges.

great old phone!
I love this model phone. i had one before this and the screen broke after a couple years of abuse. So i had to buy another. this thing is an army tank. it may survive a large explosion. besides that it is really user friendly and easy to navigate through menus and so on. full keyboard is great and the touch screen comes in real handy often. only bummer is the camera. its not horrible just a little outdated. i still love this phone though!I love this model phone. i had one before this and the screen broke after a couple years of abuse. Older Model Phone and Love It
I bought this when my Palm Centro died, and AT&T had none to give me to replace it. So I researched and looked on Ebay to find one that I'd like better. I wasn't entirely happy with the Centro. I found the keyboard to be a little too small. Anyway, love the size, the keyboard, think it takes great pictures, and this system I was able to figure out. Great phone for the price I paid, too.
