Genuine component but required modifications
The replacement part matched up with three different online vendors as the key part needed to replace my Whirlpool 8053421 range spark module. And while it indeed looked like the original part, the electrical connection points were actually larger which required me having to visit Home Depot and buy new connection components. In addition, I had to cut the previous wire ends and strip some cable to fit into the new components. Regardless, the Range Spark Module worked as expected and was 50% cheaper than retail.The replacement part matched up with three different online vendors as the key part needed to replace my Whirlpool 8053421 range spark module. Different part number, but works great.
I was a little worried that the part had a different number on the package, but found that this part is a suitable replacement for the Whirlpool number listed in the description. The only not-obvious change is that the connectors are a different size than the original part. The wires from the stove need to be refitted with the supplied connectors that come in the package. Probably not a big deal since if you're fixing your own appliances, you probably know how to install a crimp connector. The new module clicks about double the speed of the old one and lights the burner much faster. I'm happy with the performance of the part and it was much less expensive than my normal supplier.I was a little worried that the part had a different number on the package, but found that this part is a suitable replacement for the Whirlpool number listed in the description. Did not apear to be the exact replacement
Not what it was displayed as. The mounting eye (plastic) was broken consequently it was retained as it should have been. Was not like the original. After reviewing my stove problem every result pinpointed this item was my problem After installing it my problem still exists. Now, could it be the replacement is faulty?
