Makes things alot easier
End are great, no more bad connections. Be careful with your crimper, it has nothing to do with these ends but I got my hands on two bad crimpers that were included with the cat 5 and cat 6 cable I bought.. Both made bad connections.

OK, work, wires pass thru but end (1&8) wires don’t cut-specs off?
These connectors work but every time I crimp them the end (#1 & #8) wires don’t cut. Don’t have this problem with other connectors, just these. Using a Klein ratcheting crimper. I wonder if the specs are a bit off and the end wire holes are either a hair too far or wide. Frustrating. They work but require extra steps to cut & clean up the tips. Don’t have this issue with the name brand pass-thru connectors. The design is off just a little bit, whne you crimp these the outer wire on each side does not get cut off. The wire gets notched and you have to twist it a couple times to get it to break off. I have 2 different Klein brand crimp tools and neither can cut the outer wires. All other brand of connector works well with my Klein crimper and all of the wires get cut off.

Getting it right the first time - 8 Position modular plug
this is what the doctor ordered. However just as with medication, one must follow a prescription for success. When preparing the eight pin modular plug (AKA RJ45), after verification of wire postions, the best thing about this product, trim excess wire with scissors or cable slicer shears as close to the end of the plug. Then slowly pull back on CAT cable until wire at the end of the plug retreats back into the plug head shell. Then crimp. If the above step is not performed, there will be significant difficulty connecting that plug into an 8 position modular jack. The user will be forced to attempt to trim off wire stubs at the end of the modular plug. A time consuming task.this is what the doctor ordered. Easy to use, trouble free for non-shielded cabling
Pass-thru connectors are great and easy to use. Recomend this type for regular CAT5E or 6. This is not good for Sheilded cables as the wire is to thick and will not 'pass thru'.
