So Easy My 8 y/o Son Can Use It
I have been a fan of the Kodak EasyShare family of cameras since I bought my wife her first digital camera back in 2004. The Kodak EasyShare line takes great pictures and videos. It is easy to use and the included software makes it easy to move your pictures and videos from the camera to your computer or printer. The cameras are priced well for the features as compared to comparable brands. I purchased the C142; 10MP camera for my 8 y/o son and he was able to use it right out of the box. Don't get me wrong, my wife wants the same camera for herself. This camera may be easy to use but the picture quality is semi-professional. You cannot go wrong with this camera. My only complaint is that there is no way to recharge this camera. It uses AA batteries only. Although it will accept ... Easy to Use
Really like the ease of this camera. You can jump in and begin using it immediately. I am computer savvy and had another camera by another brand that I extensively researched. After all sorts of research and making a minor investment, I ended up with a terrible and complex camera that took the worst pictures and broke after two years. After those two frustrating years, I wanted something simple and easy, which you can't get simpler than the Kodak Easyshare. It takes great pics and is not so painful on the wallet. What really sold me though was other family members and friends who have Kodaks and they too take great pictures and have been used heavily but still are in great shape. This is a great point and shoot and is great for those who want a nice picture but don't want to fuss ... Really like the ease of this camera. You can jump in and begin using it immediately. Very nice for most photos no viewfinder.
I bought this for my wife and I have been using it some myself. Once you get used to the focus it takes very good pictures for my needs. I order 4x6 prints for a photo book and an occasional 5x7 for framing. The prints I have gotten look fantastic and the pictures look really great on the computer. I still like a viewfinder and in bright light the images on the screen are hard to see (we live in Florida it is bright most of the time). I have found this to be the case on every camera I have ever used that does not have a viewfinder and is why I gave a 4 out of 5 rating over all and in features, no viewfinder.I bought this for my wife and I have been using it some myself. Little,Cheap,Fuctional best price&performance ratio.
I bought this camera to my friend as a gift. I know the quality of KODAK sharp images. It's internal memory would not be enough as usual for all digital cameras. Image quality is acceptable according to it's price, video performance either good. I like it's size, very small and slim although it is working with two AA batteries. Also it's weight is very light. If you are seeking a digital camera which is cheap and do it's jop, this is KODAK C142. You would not to regret buying it.I bought this camera to my friend as a gift. Great camera but had serious issues.
First off, I'm rating this camera poor based on a defect in the camera. Not everyone will have this experience. I purchased an "open box" model that claimed all features had been tested and clearly upon inserting an external memory card, they were not. The camera functions as expected using the internal memory and takes decent beginner pictures so yes, this is great for a beginner or a kid using it on a field trip. The issue I had is that something is not right with the contacts that read the external memory card. When we insert a memory card, it says the card is unreadable. We have tried a few cards that worked fine when tested on another unit and are having to get this unit serviced. To say the least, I am not pleased by this which is why I rated this a 1.
