    Great speakers- jbl 2226 woofer

    I’ve been using the jbl 2226’s for many years and different uses. they’re rugged and efficient speakers. I see pretty many of these on eBay at times because they’re blown, which I don’t understand. These excel in small to medium boxes. I’ve never blown one and if you do, it’s probably due to under powering them or wrong box design. Years ago I had some go but one time it was due to a power outage and the other was due to low voltage, so make sure you have your amps running on good current by using your own breakers tapped into a good 220 source. So I guess I did blow some in reality but that was 20 years ago while where I learned about low voltage and tapping the pole. If having a good tuned box to put them in, they will do you justice.     Salesbaron kicks booty just like this JBL 2226H the industry standard 15" woofer

    The JBL 22xx model line has been an industry standard 15" woofer since the days of the 2205's. The 2226's are just refined - just like the newer Harley-Davidson's are. A classic design refined. Listening to it right now as the mono LF section of a 3-way studio system. Real nice sounding woofer - real nice. Salesbaron sold me a used driver - what I received was a fresh never installed JBL 2226H in pristine used condition. Thanks!
