I love this movie almost as much as the original...more so in some ways. Is quite well done. While it has the same characters (mom, daughter, boyfriend, Santa), and though it the same general theme, it goes a different direction rather than copying the original script.

A great cast, as well as a beautiful production, bring a new dimension to the story we all know. Mara Wilson is one of the most engaging child actors to grace the screen since Shirley Temple (see her in Mathilda). John Attenborough is perfect in his role as "Kris," while Elizabeth Perkins and Dylan McDermott give in to love (with some help from Santa) quite believably. I own other versions of this film, but this one has become my hands-down favorite.
I purchased the Miracle on 34th st the newer version I already have the older version. One of my favorite christmas movies and it was at a good price.

This movie is one of my "must-watch" movies for Christmas. I'll admit it's not a great one for very young kids as the subject matter and dialogue is more mature. I think it's great for kids 10+.

This is such a good movie and was remade with such good taste. The casting couldn't possibly be better and the entire style of the movie is reminiscent of "old time" movies. Creative, engaging and definitely in my top 10 movies of all time. A perfect family-friendly film to get you into the holiday spirit!
