This camera has it all. Small, compact and lightweight. It has all the features you could possibly need for taking great shots while on the go. The only criticism I have is that you have to remove the battery from the camera to charge it - that situation could be improved. All in all, a great buy.

This is a great little camera. It takes GREAT low light photos with the flash off. The zoom is really useful & powerful for such a tiny camera body. It's truly a lot of camera for the money and awesome as an alternative to a chunkier point and shoot that I have (Sony DSC-H10V) which I love but is much bigger/heavier. I really don't understand the negative reviews I've seen like on CNET. I think it is soo wrong to compare this to a cell phone camera! UGH! I gave it a 4 out of 5 because I wish it had better stabilization but it's might fault cause I'm getting old and can't hold it still. Ha, ha! So really it's a strong 4 1/2 rating. Best point and shoot I have owned. Thanks Canon!

This is my second ELPH 520, (both are still working great). I take snap shots of everything, I usually have a camera with me wherever I go. These ELPH 520s with lots of zoom and very flexible settings are also small and convenient to carry. For snap shots the ELPH 520 it is hard to beat. I wonder why Cannon stopped making them.

My philosophy is: "if it fits in your pocket it good". I took this camera to Paris and the beaches of Utah and Omaha. It took pictures that would rival any high dollar SLR camera. Tha big plus was the video's that it produced. I know that the new smart phones will probably accomplish the same task but I wonder sometimes if bundeling everything in one gadget is really "smart".
