Programming the RF
The remote right out of the box works great in IR mode. But trying to get it to work in RF mode is another issue. I followed several different directions to get it to pair with the Roamio Pro and still cannot get RF to work. This is a second remote for the Roamio Pro so we can have 2 remotes in different locations within the same area. Nook and Family room. So I have given up and just will use it in IR mode. The remote right out of the box works great in IR mode. But trying to get it to work in RF mode is another issue. It was easy to program to marry the remote to the tivo and the Vizio TV it took the first tv code for the use of one remote for both tivo and tv set. It would be nice if it was audio control voice commands. It was Shipped fast as I had drop the original one to many times. PS: I will recommend to use quality double A's battery. Jaq..

Love the Roamio
The remote has great features but isn't completely intuitive to use if you've had other TIVO remotes. I had to look up the instructions online to get full use out of the remote. I do enjoy what it can do with the Roamio.

Smaller and more convenient
I record a lot on Tivo so the remote control is used quite a bit. I really enjoy the smaller size and the new feature of skipping through the commercials, by pushining letter D, versus manually fast forwarding with the button we used to use for this purpose. Much better design, much more functional.

Great TiVo remote
The Rf sync to my roaming pro was flawless. Programming my Samsung tv was more problematic. None of the four digit codes TiVo provided worked. The solution was relatively simple..use 990 then press channel up with tv on. Once it shuts off press enter. 990 channel up is used by universal remotes to program for a tv that you don’t have the code or as in my case, didn’t work...previously my TiVo brand remotes used 0 3 0 5 four digit code for my Samsung tv. This however didn’t work with this remote, nor did any other codes TiVo suggested The Rf sync to my roaming pro was flawless. Programming my Samsung tv was more problematic.
