I bought this camera because I wanted a slim and compact camera that would do more than my mobile phone. I also wanted a quality item that I can rely on. The Sony fits the bill well. Picture quality is excellent. The stated battery capacity of around 210 shots was quickly overcome by buying another battery as a spare, no problem, quickly found and bought off ebay. There are many features on this camera but the main ones, fast silent switch-on, quick zoom, and minimal shutter release delay are very much appreciated. The camera slips into a pocket and you are unaware of it until you need it-great! Overall I am very happy with this equipment, it stands out among the competition. I am not experienced enough or enough of a camera geek to find much to criticise, I am sure there must be a few less than ideal features but I have not found any yet after about 100 shots.Read full review

This is an amazing little camera, it us tiny and packs a huge amount of performance. Easy to navigate the menu and settings. Has wifi so you can easily ping the images to a tablet. Fantastic, crisp clear pictures. Zoom is amazing and the image stabilisation really shows this. The most impressive part for me, as a novice, is wanting a camera that can take picture at night, or when lighting is low, and reproduce what I actually see...WITHOUT A FLASH..!!!...The ISO is really high so it takes seriously good images in low light conditions without the washout that the flash gives you. I have taken amazing pictures at concerts which have made me proud.

I wanted a very small camera with a zoom and and wifi transfer to phone it fulfils these requirements. Reason for 4 stars rather than 5 mainly relate to wifi transfer. Cons. The shutter button is a little small. The wifi connection with the phone always seems a bit difficult to make. The pictures on the built in LCD are difficult to make out for data transfer because they are so small and not displayed on your phone prior to transfer making selection of the best photos that you want transfer difficult. The thumb wheel seems a little over sensitive leading to selection of modes jumping about. Pros. Pictures seem reasonable Very compact and pocketable. Good selection of modes. Lightweight and feature-full. Point and shoot! The added bonus is the WiFi link which can send the image to an iOS or Android phone for sharing etc... Impressive bit of kit for such a small device. The battery is of a fairly low capacity so no idea how long it will last in the field. This is obviously how the weight is kept to a minimum. Love it!
