Even for those people who don't like older films this movie captures it audience with amazing special effects and great acting. I bought this as a gift for a Gone with the Wind fan, and I heard back right away on its greatness. Aside from the full movie DVD's (which is still a great film to watch), there are many extras elements of the movie's history in this collection, like pictures and documents related to the movie that collectors and movie lovers will find fascinating. It also came in a lovely box that can keep the collection together nicely, or be reused. All in all, this is an excellent product for anyone GWW Lover, or Older Movie Fan.
Of course this movie is an all time Classic. And shows how people were affected by the hard times, even people that were wealthy in the beginning. It does present I think a great decpiction of the times. And Scarlett was a true Lady of the South, but shows strength that would do any one proud. This is truly Clark Gable at his best !!! There is no way you can not be wrapped up in this movie even tho it is a lengthy one. I'm not much of a writer, obviously, but I can say this. I have read the book and watched to movie at least once a year for many, many years.
