The Adcom GFA-535 II 2 Channel Amplifier is a powerful amp that gives you the strength and volume that your music needs. Featuring Triple Darlington output, this amplifier reduces the effects of speaker impedance variations. This results in a completely distortion-free sound. You can change the high and low frequencies as well as the loudness of your music. Both the feedback-loop and low-frequency signal paths have no electrolytic capacitors. This means you'll be able to experience a reduced power use. The automatic shutoff feature of the transistors in this equipment also helps to conserve electricity. This feature turns on when the Stereophile amplifiers do not detect a signal for at least 60 seconds. This unit is rated for use with receivers, televisions, and DVD players. You can connect it to your Blu-ray player or video gaming systems for great distribution of the audio experience.This audiophile GFA-535 amp delivers 200 W from each of its channels at an impedance of 8 ohms. At these specifications, you can use these amps with speakers that also have an 8-ohm impedance. This combination will deliver clear tones in your home theater electronics. The bridged mono delivery yields a balanced sound from each of your speakers. Built-in bass and treble tone controls allow you to enjoy a customized audio experience. Other controls on the front of the unit include MP3 in, balance, and mute. The volume control is an ergonomically designed knob that is easy to use. This amplifying system has cooling vents on the chassis and top cover to prevent overheating and ensure greater cooling efficiency. This model of the amplifier has an output wattage of 125 watts.You can connect it to your speaker system using banana plugs or RCA inputs. The outputs on the rear of this Adcom amp include left and right and in and out for speakers. It also has a connection for your receiver. Legendary Amplifier
The GFA-535 and GFA-535 II are well-regarded and well-built amplifiers. They've been compared favorably to much more expensive amplifiers multiple times. The '535 is built like a tank. Just picking it up you realize it's a solid piece of equipment. It's a dual-mono design with separate transformers for each channel. I've used it to drive Martin-Logan and Magneplanar loudspeakers without any problem and it sounded marvelous. In fact, within its power range, it sounds much like its high-acclaimed big brother, the GFA-555. Yes, it won't play as loudly but I've had it play plenty loud with low impedance, low sensitivity speakers like the Magnepan MG II and MG IIIa. It also never got hot, even when playing loudly. One thing to do with these older amplifiers i to make sure the bias is within spec, a pretty easy thing to do if you have the service manual and a decent multimeter. Or take it to a technician and have it done for you.Read full review

Super little high current power amplifier.
This is a very special power amp, in that it sports two separate power supplies, thereby giving it a cleaner (no crosstalk) sonic performance. It is very underrated on power at 60 watt / 8 because it has no issue producing close to 80 w/8 I dives good efficient speakers with power to spare. because it is a high current amp. Very good choice in a power amp to get the Adcom sound without breaking the bank.

The amp was just as pictured on e-bay. Shipping was quicker than I expected and was packed well in OEM box. I have not done extended listening yet, just did a fast setup to make sure it was working. I did not notice any problem. I would purchase form seller again.

Pure clean power
This is my first Adcom peice, and it was purchased to power my Paradigm Atom Speakers in my exercise room. My Rotel 985 had been damaged and I needed a replacement. Having only two speakers in this setup, I chose the Adcom. Boy, am I happy I did. The clarity, power, and color is honestly more pure than the higher powered Rotel. It literally makes my modest Paradigm Speakers Sing! I haven't taken it up past level 3/10 yet, and likely won't ever need to in it's present setting, but there is absolutely no lack of power. I am very pleased with the value for the price.
