This Motorola mono headphone looks great, and connects easily to my two phones. However, I have to adjust the sound to a listenable level with each call. More annoyingly, one headphone barely gets me through 45 minutes worth of phone calls. I’ve had older, smaller Motorola headphones that lasted longer. This purchase was to replace those old timers. These newer models are clearly of a lesser quality, in spite of their features. Thus, they are on sale.

    I'm excited to have another Motorola Boom

    I like the Motorola Boom models because they offer a better volume range for the earpiece - even when using the ear hook. They also pick up my voice in various environments quite well. This Boom 3 seems to have a somewhat shorter battery life than my poor Boom 2 (rest in pieces) did. For the price, it is a very good value.

    All the good Moto features except battery life.

    Bought this to replace a Motorola hx550 that I've used for years but finally suffered a BT radio failure. The boom3 has good audio, range and connects quickly, just like the 550. The flaw I discovered is the battery life is not good. Lasts about 1/3 as long as the older Motorola set which is physically smaller. How is it that stuff like this goes backwards?

    Good enough

    Pluses: The Motorola Boom 3 seems reliable. Volume in the earpiece is good and clarity is reasonable. Minuses: The earpiece hook is somewhat uncomfortable. The microphone muffles voice clarity some (This is most likely due to the noise cancelling feature). A five star rating is not deserved, but it is a good enough device.

    Ok Bluetooth

    Overall I would put this Bluetooth that a 3 1/2 to 4 personally. I don’t like the earpiece not fitting in my ear snuggly and the flip out on and off function. I like the small profile and so far I can hear really well and people can hear me so that’s why I’m OK with the less than perfect ear fit.

    not worth the effort

    I was used to the Boom and HX series Motorola headset. The Boom 3 does not pair well with iPhone. Tap to connect isn't available and the "halo moto" on wake up is not able to be turned off I took a chance on an inexpensive one, relegated to unused electronics drawer. to big and weighted wrong to stay without over ear attachment
