    Jungle blanket just replaced my poncho liner

    Once again, I've found another Snugpak product that puts the competition to shame. This time it's the jungle blanket. For years I've relied on a military poncho liner as an emergency survival blanket. Now, the Snugpak provides real comfort in a lightweight, compact package. It's so comforting I find myself using it when there is no emergency! Bet you can't say that about your old nylon poncho liner. Get one!

    Excellent insulation

    Just got back form a week of camping in the high desert of eastern Oregon. Instead of a sleeping bag I used this blanket and an omniheat bag liner. I was comfortable in temperatures from the mid 60's down to freezing.

    Modernized Woobie

    The Snugpak Jungle Blanket is a modernized/improved poncho liner. It is better made than the USGI version. It is three layers, insulation in the middle with a smoother inner and a "diamond pattern" outer layer. This is a great piece of kit for the car, cabin, or back country. I would take this back packing, it can be used as a sun shade or lean-to, top quilt. The XL version is good for use as both an under quilt and top quilt if you favor hammocks with a few clamp/clips. Its fairly quiet material, not nearly as noisy at say Gortex or a heavy nylon tarp, but not as quiet as a wool blanket. If you are a fan of the USGI "woobie" and Ranger Roll you will like the Snugpak Jungle Blanket.

    Nice lightweight blanket

    Comfy and light. Not ideal for winters in Canada but it is good enough for Spring and Autumn weather to stay warm if outside.
