    Happy!

    In my specific conditions, even though the base unit can be difficult to see at a distance, the price and the ability for the sensor units to connect to the base as well as they do allow me to have the sensor close by and very easy to see. I have a somewhat unique situation here. I've got one sensor underneath a grand piano to monitor temp/humidity. The sensor signal path is blocked by some heavy wooden beams underneath the piano, the pianos cast iron harp plate, the outside wooden case of the piano, and a house wall. Another sensor is on an outside wall with another inside wall in between the sensor and the base. I've got the third sensor outside under the eaves of the house and it's probably the most direct path for the sensor signal to travel to the base. Although there is a ...

    Difficult to read

    This unit is great is the sense that it comes with 3 sensors and allows you to monitor 3 different areas. The huge negative is that the display is weird. The base unit needs to sit in certain angles depending on room lighting in order for the display to sharply show its data. All the numbers on the display will look faded depending on which angle you are looking at it and the lighting in the room you are in. However, I needed to replace a sensor for my living room unit and I am having the two read the same sensor for outside weather. Sensors are $20/piece. Making this a relatively acceptable value IF you had the buy a single sensor.

    Needs more ability to adjust features

    The one item I don't like is the "happy face, sad face symbols" I would like to be able to shut them off! I prefer 65 degrees with 30% or less humidity. The face is sad when I'm comfortable and happy when I'm not. It seems sadistic. It would also be nice if the main unit could be hung on a wall rather than set on a counter.

    Very good product

    We have a walk out basement, and I've been afraid our thermostat has not been working. I put sensors outside, in a living room, and the basement, and kept the main unit in our bedroom. I have been able to monitor the temps in each area to determine that the thermostat for the basement area has not been working and has been keeping that part of the house at 77 degrees. I've now changed the thermostat and things are good. The only pitfall is that I've not been able to find a backlight for the unit. I have to have enough light directly on the unit to see the numbers. Otherwise, it's great! Worth the money.
