    Fair Reciever

    The reciever has a Lot of scratchy noise when turning the volumn dial. The reception is only fair. Not what I believed and was understood.

    Using a random long wire antenna reception was outstanding. I now use a Tecsun 660. The two had equal reception,the tone of the 398 was better.

    This radio will fail...

    Speaker will go bad on this model. Cheap build quality. Do an online search and see for yourself.
