I did my due diligence before ordering a 4GB DDR3 RAM module, but I found out from A-TECH that my laptop is not expandable, even though the manufacturer said that it can be expanded from 4GB to 8GB. I returned the module back to the seller, which cost me $7.39, which I would like to have refunded. When they receive the returned module, they will issue a refund to my credit card. Thank you.

Going beyond the manufacturer's specified limits can be a challenge and "if" to say the very least. The Atech 4GB SODIMM DDR-3 Laptop PC-3 10600 1333 MHz 204—Pin RAM Memory is a well known, established and reliable stick. It's a good value for the money and will withstand the demands of a regular user like myself. I have been modifying and upgrading my laptop ( . . . it's 7 years old but has always underperformed my expectations) and in so doing have learned a lot about construction and maintenance of both laptops and desktops. In my case the Acer Aspire 5334 series has always been popular for it's cost to performance ratio but 7 year old laptops just can't compete with today's machines. The manufacturer's maximum specs for that series is 4 GB of RAM. I joined the Acer Forum and began ... I had already upgraded the CPU, replaced the 320 GB 5600rpm HDD with an incredible 256 GB SSD ( . . . and I've since replaced that with a 525 GB SSD), replaced the Optical Drive (CD/DVD player) with a Caddy which has allowed me to install a 1 TB SSHD but I was stuck with only a 4 GB RAM capacity. I was accidentally included in a conversation where a friend of a Forum member had succeeded in getting a repair of a 5334 up to 5GB ( . . . 6 will NOT work!!!). I had to try it. I admit that I did try to push it to 6 also but almost bricked my laptop in the process. I had a 1 GB RAM stick from a previous upgrade so I ordered the 4GB's and the installation was a success. Sometimes it pays to push the limits. The Acer has never performed better and will be able to give me more years of good service!!!

Works perfectly but because of my own mistake with checking out the specs of my own laptop and there being multiple versions of the same model I was not actually able to upgrade my ram. Always make sure that you check the specific serial number and exact model number for your device. Besides my own mistake this product is absolutely a good buy and arrives quickly.
