Was actually pleasantly surprised how easy to put together and that's saying a lot because we put a lot of stuff together. The slats are Velcro together and to the frame which if u ever used slates you will know how appreciated this design is! Don't let the slates worry you. It's low to the ground but we have a ten in mattress makes if good.

The item was damaged in shipping, but damage anything that showed. The seller offered to send a complete replacement but we decided to ask for a partial refund as we had paid to have it assembled, seller would incur shipping costs and loss of inventory. The seller agreed to refund and we recieved it. Seller was extremely easy to work with.
