Price was good. Shipping was fast. Everything was as advertised. Good to have another one of these, they were built to last...

I had to buy a new battery the one it came with wouldn’t take a charge. Half the time there is no display on the handset. I thought a new battery would fix it. I can answer a phone call but without a display it’s not great.

Bought this for the speakerphone function which I am hoping to use a lot more. Too bad that this machine is a half duplex type and the speaker phone sound quality to the remote party is full of echoes and pauses. In other regards it is not bad and is loaded with convenience features which are not really necessary but one can learn to use. The keypad is a tad small and cannot be easily one handed like the KX-TG2208 it replaced. I will be finding something else.
I have the original base and phone and purchased it when it was new. I see someone gave this phone a one star due to problems with its range. When I've lived in three houses in very different environments, I took (and still take it) outside and down short and long driveways and backyards. The booster kicks in and we can still hear and understand. There are newer phones on the market that you can buy. Some have "features" to adjust the sound quality of the phone. They have different features. Do they work? I don't care. I just know my original phone over three moves and I have no memory when I bought it still works like a champ and I'm just buying the replacement set for the handset. The reality is things are market driven and the adage that applies everywhere is if it's old (including people) it needs to be replaced. That's not true for this model and that's a marketing ploy. If you can get this unit that's not too dinged or overpriced, snap it up. The only new part you can get is the battery. Buying 5.8 mgH or 6.0 mgH doesn't matter whether you live in the mountains or crowded towns.Read full review
I have had so many cordless phones in the past and disappointed with most of them. I did plenty of research before I bought this one. I have had it for over 5 years now and never a problem at all. I remember when I thought it was starting to give me problems. What was really happening was that it had spoiled me to the point that I thought I could take it anywhere. Around the house wasn't enough, so now I'm lounging at the neighbors pool when it started to fade. As long as I was sitting still the reception even then was good. The features are tremdous and all works great! My favorite is the voice call and voice caller Id, also you could see the number you dialed on the base. The same goes for the hand-set. I like the fact that you could buy additional add on handsets up to 5. Add one to any room without adding a phone plug in that particular room. They all have their own Id so when you need to locate it, you simply did it from the base to find it in the cushions of the couch. I only came here to find batteries for it and seen the reviews going on here. So I thought I would add my two cents (smile) I thougt I might have to retire it and buy another one. This model is not being sold anymore. However, I will get the batteries for it and keep it another 5 years or until it dies completely! I guess this is proof. They don't make things like they use to.Read full review
