    This is a cover up

    She wanted the color 'bisque'. This was white, once installed you can't tell the difference. And no I never mentioned it was white. She's a captain extraordinaire with the color police but was ready for the penalty just in case.

    Inexpensive fix for my machine.

    Dryer wouldn't work. No matter where I set the dial the machine wouldn't turn on. After further investigation I determined that the dial itself was spinning on the shaft. It was cracked at the base and the new one fits perfectly. Look at it before paying a repair person

    Maytag Neptune Dryer Knob

    Firstly, you can't really find this part everywhere, and the few places that have it are quite expensive. This is the real OEM part. Fit perfect and the price was more than fair in my opinion.

    Not exact fit. Requires careful modification and fitting.

    As others have said, not an exact fit. It won't go on the shaft. Tried exacto knife to open up the hole a little and it's a little tight to get that in there. However using that got the knob in as far as the metal clip but not down to the dryer console (sticks up 3/4 inch). I used a half round needle file to expand the hole beyond where the metal clip goes so the shaft will go all the way through the knob and allow the knob to be flat to the console. It now works as it should but is frustrating to have to spend a half hour retrofitting the part to fit the machine. Thus the 2 star rating. On the up side the original part broke causing the shaft to spin in the hole while the new part is reinforced where the old one broke. Shouldn't have to replace it again.

    Doesn't fit with matching part

    This dial did not work with the knob. The knob snapped into place nicely with the original dial but would not stay connected to this new dial. I had to glue the knob to the dial for it to work. If this dial breaks I will have to purchase both a new knob and dial.
