This set of cables is a good value. The colors eliminate confusion in complex cabling situations. They are extremely flexible and durable. The length is just right for most set ups. The only disappointment is that some of the cables in the set I received don't match the others. Some have a foil shield while others don't. All of the connectors are of the XLR variety but some are cosmetically different, hence only four stars. When I buy a set of anything, I expect everything to match. Nice for knowing who's on what channel. Not terribly rugged though. I'd say aver life is about 1 1/2 of soft gigging( 1-2 gigs/month. These were bought as a replacement for others of the same make. One bad misstep pretty much does them in. I manage sound from the stage; so I have to minimize the time to trouble shoot sound issues; so, I'll still go for the color vice a snake's den of black cables.
