    Best Phone Ever Made

When it came out, years ago, it ran neck to neck with the one that starts with bla...! It had functions on it then, that other phones are just recently adding to their list of apps. I have often looked at folks, somewhat confused, when they were praising their 'new' function, thinking 'my PALM has been doing that for years'. The Palm Treo, Centro etc. are simply the best phone ever made. They did everything a computer does ten years ago. Now AT&T is fading this technology out and it isn't made any more, nor can it be WIFI enabled. THIS IS A SHAME!!!! I suspect they can't make enough money on a phone that is perfect and doesn't break down. I got five years out of my first one and had to replace it only because we ran over the touchscreen with the Harley. It still worked, calls came in, but ...

  • Love this phone!

The Centro is a fantastic phone. It has a large qwerty keyboard that is easy to use, as well as touch scrfeen. It has the capability of internet and PDA functions. It keeps my calendar, wakes me every morning, stores my address book as well as my shopping list. The camera takes great pictures and video. This phone can do it all - palm has many downloadable extras, and it backs up to your computer for added safety of your information. This one replaced my first centro - which I had for many years and I didn't want to give up its great features.

  • Obsolete, but one of the best smart phones ever made.

I bought this phone on e-bay because I have had such a good experience with the the Palm Centro for the past four years and wanted to have a spare in case my phone broke. They are no longer made, and have been superceded by several newer smart phones. However, the Palm Centro does almost everything other smart phones (including the iphone) do, including hosting some great downloadable apps. The biggest limitation relative to newer phones is that the Centro does not have WiFi. (It does have a web browser, but you have to connect to the internet via your phone carrier.) For me, that's fine, because the newer phones all require you to sign up with your phone carrier for a data plan, which costs at least $15 extra per month. When I want portable WiFi, I use my tablet computer.

  • I do NOT want to live without my Palm Centro

I absolutely LOVE my Palm Centro. I have had one since 2007. The same one and it is gently telling me it wants to retire but I did not want to give it up. So I got a new one on Ebay. I hate learning new phones. I do not need all the new technology. What I love most about my Palm is the easy access to the calendar, emails, main menu, and phone. I love the touch screen. I love the size. I really cannt think of anything I do not like about my Palm except the bill each month.

  • I'll give up my Palm Pilot when they pry it from my cold, dead hand.

Why do I carry this as a second phone, but without it's own SIM Card? Because it's a Palm Pilot! I've got apps I've used for years on Palm Pilots before they became cell phones too, and the apps on my Android phone haven't copied the usefulness, or the features of what I had on the Palm. And I won't give them up. Some things on my phone Calendar I don't want on my Google Calendar, but I DO need to back them up on my computer. Palm's Hotsync still does the job, while keeping things Private. I was recently asked for a phone number I haven't pulled up in years. It was entered in the Contact List at least 3 Palm's ago. Because the Contact List was always Hotsynced, it was still there when I needed it - and the number still worked, too! I only use carriers with GSM Networks so I can swap ...
