    Better life

Which is true. My old CD got real deep in it when it fell between the seat and consul in my 2004 black Chevy SSR. Right at number 10....smack and yep it got smacked right into the metal of the drive seat base. Everything else played fine. But what a pain having to go through that and wasn't to good for that Bose 6 deck CD player. So find this great deal and remastered also. Great price. Quick delivery. Packed great with free country classic CD to protect The Better Life. What great idea. Well worth my time and a great investment. Will be jamming in the SSR with the top down keeping social distance cruising country road around here. An escape from isolation with safety in mind.

  • a bit heavier version of Matchbox 20 is just fine

This is a very melodic set of songs on this cd. The band really hit it outta the park because even though this would be called alternative it satisfies a wide audience of rockers and people who like softer lyrically based pop. What I noticed the most about this release when it was new was the vocals and the messages that the song tried to convey. I would agree with the earlier reviews (put out by the record label) that 3 Doors Down is a bit like a heavier version of Matchbox 20 and that is just fine by me because its not too heavy and not too light, just right for good driving music or to be played to a wide audience of friends at a party to satisfy most musical tastes.

  • Excellent CD

I don't know where I was when this CD came out....I must have been living in a cave. I remember Kryptonite and a couple of the other songs but for some reason they didn't hit me....til now. I heard Duck and Run on a local rock station and loved it, so I decided to get the CD. It was an immediate hit with me. I can't believe this CD is 9 years old...the music has certainly translated well almost a decade later. I will definitely be getting the rest of their work.

  • Avid fan finally takes the plunge for 3DD oldest recording

i've been an avid fan of 3DD for many years, but this is my first purchase of a recording by them...many opinions said that this was (and has remained) their best...with a price tag of <$6 i felt it was worth it...AND IT IS SO...the tunes are well written and well performed...it has been on repeat over the last couple of days and am appreciating it more and more

  • Who snorted all the Kryptonite?

I bought this because the band was popular a while back and I never gave them a chance. The first song is so cool about superman and kryptonite. I wanted to hear more songs about superheroes like Matchbox 20's song is about the same thing so that it makes you wonder who copied who. Anyway the rest of the songs on this album are not about superheroes, though they should have been. I can't make out what any of the songs are trying to say. I think they should have paid more attention in school and this would have helped when they sat down to write lyrics. The music is ok, but no superhero hooks, just a whole lot of effort to fill up the rest of the cd with competent but not vital rock.
