I store it beside the house, on the north side, out of the sun. My rack has held the cane through two hurricanes, 70 mph winds. The steel stand is not attached to the wall. The trick was to keep it in a nook where the wind does not grab it. That saves storing the canoe in a garage etc. The canoe is about 20 years old, but is indestructible. It is wide and very stable. The seat in front is removable and allows passengers who are not very athletic to relax. I moved the front seat back a bit to allow more leg room up front.”
