GREAT SQ SPEAKERS!
So I purchased these primarily to test out simply because they were so feasible @ $34/pr. No crazy install just running off of Kenwood H.U. (20wrms/ch). Replaced a well broken in pair of VRPower 3.5's and IMO they sound much clearer/cleaner. They are not as beefy but are a higher quality build, I have them crossed over at 120Hz off H.U. and they keep up reasonably well with my x4 Eclipse 6x9's in doors amped off a Rockford T400.4 (obviously took some tuning to balance best as possible). The noticeable difference I believe comes from the .8" silk tweeter, the VRP's had a .75" titanium tweet and it was extremely bright even set at 12.5kHz. Overall, I would consider these to be a great deal for the price and are probably comparable to many of the higher priced speakers in their class. I ... I cannot speak on the LP performance as I've rolled off the lower frequencies significantly but they seem to handle them decent just playing around with the EQ but the highs are nice and clear and natural sounding to my ears. If you are in the market for a pair of 3.5's in the $0-$75 range (believe me I looked at many options) I would HIGHLY recommend saving a couple of bucks and going with these, WELL worth the cost! Only area I would've liked to see an improvement with specs was the efficiency and frequency range @ 145-20kHz but honestly they're 3.5" speakers so you can't expect much bass/punch. Very Poor Music Quality DO NOT BUY
I installed these 3.5" Skar speakers in my 2009 Chrysler 300 and I would not recommend buying them. These speakers were quieter than my original stock Boston audio speakers. I installed them in my dash, then I took them out after I realized it only bumped half as hard as my stock side. These speakers are not loud and they hardly vibrate music at all. I was upset and disappointed because my 12” Skars play very loud. These are junk do not install them on your car.I installed these 3.5" Skar speakers in my 2009 Chrysler 300 and I would not recommend buying them. These are not midbass drivers
These little 3.5 are very loud speakers, i got them for my 2012 Hyundai sonata using factory head unit, and they sound great just had to adjust the bass on the head unit because the speaker would make a crack sound away high volume. Other than that with an after market amp set with right frequency response and gain settings these things will get loud as i tested in another car before installing them in my sonata. Very Great and clear audio from both woofer and tweeter.These little 3.5 are very loud speakers, i got them for my 2012 Hyundai sonata using factory head unit, and they sound great just had to adjust the bass on the head unit because the speaker would make a crack sound away high volume.
