Maybe the best Handycam?
I spent hours and hours to determine that this is the best Sony Handycam with nightshot. You can record onto dvd or internal memory. It has touchscreen for ease. It has 30mm threads for filter accessories. It has remote control. I can record in 4:3 which I like.It also has hot shoe. Awesome classic digital camera with just enough modern features. No 8mm tape needed.

I really like this camcorder except for wind noise
I've been using this camcorder for two years now and I still love it. I usually record video to the camcorder hard drive, then copy to my computer hard drive by USB all the raw video segments that are saved in mpg format on the camcorder hard drive (does not save as mpg on DVD mini disk though). Then from my computer hard drive I use a favorite video editing program and edit/make my DVD's. I also make backup copies to a full size DVD-R of the original raw mpg files, for possible future use. The sound quality is excellent indoors, but a con is it really picks up wind noise outdoors. Shielding camcorder with a small umbrella helps. But a stick-on Windcutter cuts the wind noise in half, they can be found on eBay but use keywords like "camcorder wind noise" to find.I've been using this camcorder for two years now and I still love it. Great comcorder &easy to use
I think most people buy this camcorder because we can record movie&picture to 3 different method(harddrive, memory card and DVD). The camcorder is easy to use and touch screen is great, I'm almost never need a use of instruction book at all. The quality of the video is great for the standard definition camcorder(do not compare to HD camcorder).
