    ELO for a friend!

    Ordered this for a friend, he LOVES it! It is his favorite all time music & he couldn't find it, but here it was on eBay & for a great price! He was so happy when he received it in the mail & began playing it right away. It was like new. And to him it is great music, puts him in a good mood.

    elo's greatest hits cd

    lets face it with very few exceptions, old time rock and roll kicks this new crap to the curb. rap just makes me sick. the old rock and roll bands put music together like fine art compared with the ear assault of rap. the constant thump thump thump of ear splitting base just turns me off. elo's greatest hits has a very pleasing array of classic music like mr.blue skies, rockaria, turn to stone, strange majic, living thing, and can't get it out of my head. fellow baby boomers revolt from the ear trash we are assaulted with and get this cd, it will bring back some pretty cool memories and soothe your ear drums as well.

    Good for it's time but...

    This was a great little hits collection when it was first released in November 1979. It covers 1973 through 1977 and runs about 45 minutes. In 2005, Jeff Lynne pretty much updated this collection with All Over the World: The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra, has better sound quality and is around an hour and nineteen minutes. It does omit Can't Get It Out of My Head but does include songs from later albums and it currently goes for what ELO's Greatest Hits goes for when you look around. In 2007, Jeff Lynne put out Ticket to the Moon: The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra Volume 2 which picks up where All Over the World left off and it does include Can't Get It Out of My Head. If you can afford roughly $20.00, I'd just recommend buying both of those. Better sound quality and 40 ...
