Simple device that just works. Lets you use your old printer on new system
Fantastic, use that old parallel printer port printer (like my HP 5P) on a new computer that has no parallel/printer port. I just plugged it into the printer, then into my computer running Windows 8.0 and not only did it find the driver for the cable, but it also found my printer and loaded the drivers and set it up as a usable printer! Fantastic. I tried it on my Windows 7 machine and it did exactly the same, all set up and usable. Haven't tried it in XP yet, but I will eventually. I heartily recommend this. Oh, I did try a $1.50 cable from elsewhere, it arrived and looked fine, but plugging it in resulted in absolutely nothing happening in W8, 7, and even XP. Skip those and get this and be happy. Parallel to usb Cable adapter works perfect with my old but reliable LaserJet4 Plus!!!! It took me 3 cable adapters and a month before I found the correct one. Thanks again!!!
