So, it's an unruly item, difficult to get working. The only way I could get it to work was with the drive on cable select. And it works better when its warmed up. Beware because they aren't interested in returns. But they delivered quickly.

The tracking leaves something to be desired but it did arrive in good time. The item has very poor instructions and will not work from sata to ide UNLESS you install a jumper. No place does it say this so soldering is required to make it work sata to ide. The item does work after you figure this out on your own. Thanks
