Smaller DVE with great clarity and sount
Although this is a smaller DVD player the clarity and sound are amazing. The speakers work well with plenty of volume. I keep this on my desk at work to play DVD's and the size is compatible with my work station.

Great features for the price, poor durability
Portable DVD players should give a good viewing experience and withstand the abuses of travel. This player, for the price, excels in the former and lags in the latter. I like its trim size and large screen. It can easily fit in your book bag or briefcase. The picture is sharp and bright. The battery life is decent, though I have not watched a full-length movie on it. The volume is ample for both spoken and musical material. What I did like about this unit is its display button, which allowed me to navigate the DVD menu without using the remote. I did not want to bring the remote along, since it would be one more item to lose. I could display the track number and skip around or display the time remaining. The remote was only useful in a distance situation, which with this screen size, was ... Portable DVD players should give a good viewing experience and withstand the abuses of travel. This was the first Coby DVD player I owned (my second was a Coby TF-DVD7005) and died 4 months into ownership (the second one would also die within 4 months). The manufacturer's warranty is a convenient 3 months - convenient for Coby, that is. Each time, the laser would fail to reach the outer parts of the DVD. It could only play the first part and then stop when attempting to play later chapters. In each case, I bought a Mack Camera warranty, and each time it served me well. When I sent the unit in for repair, I was told that it was unfixable. Mack Camera refunded my money. If you must get a Coby, be sure to pick up a portable DVD player repair policy (like Mack Camera). You do not have to buy the warranty with the unit - you have 30 days to get one, and you can register it with Mack Camera at any time (despite their strong warning to register immediately). You can buy a Mack Camera warranty from any store that sells it, as long as the warranty description matches the item. So if you plan to keep your portable DVD player on the move, don't buy this unit. This unit is not built to last.

Great Little unit It played NTSC and PAL DVDs on 220 in Vietnam, all in the same day, without any complicated programing or switching. Battery staying power good, color, volume, all good. Displayed digital JPEG pictures very well. Worked great, plugged into the TV, sharing photos. Instructions not clear enough for an old klutz, but unit is not that complicated and trial and error works well. Would I buy it again? Coby TF-DVD7100 Portable DVD Player
I have enjoyed using this item while recovering from total knee surgery. It is compact, great color on the 7" screen, the sound is clear, no backround noise. I do not use it in the car, although it is designed for that with extra strapes and a carry bag. Finding an extra battery and AC converter was not hard. The only disadvantage is there is no fast foward - only skip to next section.

Received 2 as a gift for Christmas. The kids love it for the car. No issues. Works great. Includes a cigarette adapter. The color screen is very clear and it plays all of our DVD+/-R without issue. It is not so expensive that I'm concerned when the kids use it. My daughter is 4 and has no problem putting her movies in and pressing Play without our help. And when your trying to concentrate on your driving, that's great.Received 2 as a gift for Christmas. The kids love it for the car. No issues. Works great. Includes a cigarette adapter.
